Alan "BB Chung King" Mirikitani - Guitarist, Vocalist, Songwriter
Mick's musical mentor - Grammy nominee Alan "BB Chung King" Mirikitani - had been a West Coast Blues icon since 1988 when he masterminded the highly-respected power blues project BB Chung King & the Screaming Buddaheads. When BB and the boys signed with the highly-respected Japanese record label Edoya Records, their name was shortened to "BB & the Buddaheads". After inking a deal with with RCA Records in the US, they became known simply as "the Buddaheads".
Al wrote hundreds of songs and produced countless great albums for other artists and for his own band. Al's mixing genius and superlative musicianship can be heard on all 3 of the GBC albums, and his amazing catalog of soulful music is available on iTunes and CD Baby.
After recording and touring Japan and North America to support the RCA & Edoya albums with Mick Stover, Al continued the Buddahead legacy with his masterful series of self-produced albums and energetic live shows, which featured the talents of many of his friends, most notably his long-time musical buddies Lee Spath and Johnny Griparic.
